Tablet Test

May 19, 2008

I’ve had a tablet for about a year now and I guess I was afraid of it… or something… because it’s spent most of that year in a drawer, literally gathering dust.

I installed the drivers last night and took it out for a test run. I’m having trouble getting “pen pressure” to respond in photoshop, and the “flip pen to erase” function doesn’t seem to be going properly either… (that’s what I get for having Vista and probably for having CS3) but anyway, here’s what I came out with.

Hey, stop laughing! It’s HARD to draw with that thing. At least this proves, however, that I CAN write upside-down and backwards. :)

Tenshiii.. there should be a pressure configuration. If you have a tablet icon in the task tray or whatever the hell it’s call there should be a sensitivity button. Mine was automatic, I just scribbled on it and it took up the pressure.. But I guess it all depends on the tablet. :/

(It prolly is vista, though >.>)

lol. I have one too, I’ve only used it once (mainly cuz I just stay too busy with pose making) but I only got it to scribble and do detailing with ..but omg it’s hard! My hand-eye coordination sucks.

    Awww that is too adorable!

About your tablet.. have you tried updating the drivers? Closing/reopening photoshop *maybe plug in the tablet before opening PS*? Restarting computer? I had that same problem when I first installed mine (though I’m not on vista). It seems to be easier to draw with it when the drivers are working properly
